02/13/24 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

At this midpoint between winter solstice and spring equinox, seeds begin to stir underground. At Conscious Revolution, we too feel the possibility of what is to come. We have been tending to new, emerging ideas, and we wanted to share the news of our exciting transformations this season.

Like any new idea, project, or initiative coming into form today amidst the joy, love, grief and heartbreaks, we can only hope, now more than ever before, that Conscious Revolution will be one of the many creative spaces working toward the expansion of human consciousness that recognizes the interwoven crises and opportunities of our times. We aspire for ours to be one of the countless beautiful ideas emerging with the potential to guide our hearts, minds, souls, and energy.

As Conscious Revolution has done for the last nearly 5 years, we will continue to offer leaders and organizations consulting services, leadership coaching, and Soul-Full Human Resources™. Our team has grown so we can work with more aligned partners to build businesses, organizations, and systems both “being and doing” transformative things. We will begin to offer opportunities and programs for leaders in our Conscious Leadership Community. The community will bring together diverse facilitators and guides to offer experiences and programs. We will expand on the foundation of the former Maine Conscious Business Collective to create even more spaces to build community and culture, be in dialogue, and inspire and co-create what can emerge when we come together.

The next phase of Conscious Revolution acknowledges the importance of the opportunities in front of us. We center our work on supporting leaders to lead from the heart, reconnecting our minds with our hearts, providing paths for inner transformation and consciousness work to transform what we see and can nurture in our relationships, communities, businesses, organizations and systems.

In the next phase of Conscious Revolution, our purpose is to Create Alternative Futures Together. Our values and principles around curiosity, courage, joy, being human, commitment, and questioning the status quo will guide us toward achieving this purpose. Thank you for your partnership thus far, let’s keep going together.

At this time, as the seeds of spring begin to stir, what new ideas are you considering, what is emerging inside of you, what transformations are you nurturing? Reach out and let us know.

With gratitude,

The Conscious Revolution Team

Our Team is Growing

Welcome to our new team members!

Welcome to Margot Fine, who is joining our team. For fifteen years, she was the Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director at Maine Inside Out (MIO), where she co-created an innovative transformative justice organization. Over the years and previous to work at MIO, she has been part of community based movements for social change from grassroots farming collectives focused on food sovereignty to large scale political campaigns intended to shift outdated systems. She's worked as a leader and coalition builder at various non profits and in school based settings. She's been an advocate and thought partner inside government systems focused on systemic changes that are truly inclusive and responsive to all. She’s been a member of countless local committees and coalitions as well as nominated to sit on government advisory groups. In all environments - grassroots to government - and in all relationships - she holds steady on a path that is driven by a desire to build a more interconnected and equitable world.  As a leader and collaborator, she brings a strong anti-racist movement orientation to all of her work and strives to create cultures of integrity and trust across diverse teams of people, where all can feel confident to build meaningful relationships, be autonomous and collaborative, make mistakes, and learn and grow personally and collectively.

We are thrilled to have her join the team at Conscious Revolution to support the launch of the Conscious Leadership Community and the overall efforts in our next phase. Margot will also be working with non profit partners on purpose, values, and organizational design with a focus on building practices and structures that create, nourish, and uphold the culture, community and world desired to live and work in.

Melea Nalli joins Conscious Revolution to broaden our work to support organizations and leaders in the education sector, in addition to collaborating with Margot and Tara to support partners in nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Melea has dedicated her more than 25 year career to educational equity and social justice and has primarily served in systems leadership roles in nonprofit organizations as well as in school districts. She has co-founded a small nonprofit, helped scale medium sized nonprofits and led the largest and most diverse school district in the state of Maine as the Assistant Superintendent and then Interim Co-Superintendent. In all of these roles she has been charged with leading change and aligning organizations to their purpose and values. Without realizing there was language to describe her approach, she has been operating as a conscious leader. She is acutely aware of the unprecedented times we face as educational leaders and believes that we need to co-create a new way forward. And she knows from experience that people and organizations need support to sustain courage, stay curious, seek joy, honor our commitments and to be human first and foremost. She can’t wait to offer that support and collaboration through her work with us!
